My name is Jessica Vigil, and I’ve had the joy of working with the Kindergarten team here for the past five years. Before that, I taught middle school science as well as 6th grade science and math at CCE. While I truly enjoyed working with older students, I can honestly say that Kindergarten is my happy place!
In my classroom, I strive to create a learning environment that is engaging, fun, and exciting for every student. We love using our imaginations, staying active, and exploring new ideas through movement and play. I'm certified in STEAM education, so we incorporate lots of hands-on activities that enhance learning and encourage curiosity. Over the course of the year, our classroom grows into a tight-knit family of learners.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Dan, and I have two wonderful children—Ty, who is 18 and heading to UCCS this fall, and Sophie, who is 16 and attends ThunderRidge High School. We also have two dogs, Waylon Jennings and Hank Willems. As a family, we enjoy the great outdoors and everything Colorado has to offer. I especially love camping, running, biking, and playing card games for fun.

This will be my 19th year in education. I taught 1st grade for 13 years and Pre-K for 5 years. I feel blessed to have found the perfect profession where it allows me to educate young, active minds and instill the love of learning. I’m thrilled to be part of the pack at CCE and look forward to partnering with you in education.
My husband, Jesse, and I have 4 active children and 2 playful dogs: Rocky and Sierra. When I’m not busy in my classroom, you’ll find me at one of the playing fields around town. As a family we love playing and watching sports, especially the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers (Yes, I’m a Cheesehead)! I also enjoy yoga, boating, paddleboarding, downhill skiing, reading, shopping, and traveling!
