My name is Jessica Vigil, and I’ve had the joy of working with the Kindergarten team here for the past five years. Before that, I taught middle school science as well as 6th grade science and math at CCE. While I truly enjoyed working with older students, I can honestly say that Kindergarten is my happy place!

In my classroom, I strive to create a learning environment that is engaging, fun, and exciting for every student. We love using our imaginations, staying active, and exploring new ideas through movement and play. I'm certified in STEAM education, so we incorporate lots of hands-on activities that enhance learning and encourage curiosity. Over the course of the year, our classroom grows into a tight-knit family of learners.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Dan, and I have two wonderful children—Ty, who is 18 and heading to UCCS this fall, and Sophie, who is 16 and attends ThunderRidge High School. We also have two dogs, Waylon Jennings and Hank Willems. As a family, we enjoy the great outdoors and everything Colorado has to offer. I especially love camping, running, biking, and playing card games for fun.

I look forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Hello Coyote Creek Families! My name is Kerrie Maas-Baldwin and this is my 21st year in education. I double majored in Human Development and Family Studies as well as Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Go Badgers! I earned my teaching credential and Master’s Degree from Pepperdine University. I’ve had the privilege to teach Pre-K, Kindie, 1st, and 5th grade. I feel blessed to have found the perfect profession where it allows me to educate young, active minds and instill the love of learning. I’m thrilled to be part of the pack at CCE and look forward to partnering with you in education.

My husband, Jesse, and I have 4 active children (Brody-6th, Ashton-4th, Kolton and Kinsley-2nd) and 2 playful puppies: Breck and Scout. When I’m not busy in my classroom, you’ll find me at one of the fields around town cheering on my kids. As a family, we love playing and watching sports, especially the Wisconsin Badgers and Green Bay Packers (Yes, I’m a Cheesehead)! I also enjoy yoga, boating, paddleboarding, downhill skiing, reading, shopping, and traveling!

My name is Bobby Edwards, and I am excited to be joining the Coyote Creek family! This will be my third year as a teacher and my first at CCE! I taught kindergarten and first grade at Acres Green Elementary my first two years. I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Colorado State University. I have spent the last eight years working with children in various facets, and I have loved every minute of it. I love helping children grow in many different areas and ensuring every child feels valued and supported!

One thing about me is that I love to play and watch sports. My favorite sports are football, basketball, and baseball.  I am a big fan of all the local teams (Go Broncos and Nuggets!) In addition, I love to do anything that gets me outdoors, like camping, fishing, and hiking. I also love to spend time with my family, friends, and dog Daisy. Looking forward to a great year!

Hello, my name is Alex DeBenedictis. This is my second year teaching Kindergarten, but my first at CCE! I have taught pre-k and have been working in education in some capacity for 17 years. I am currently pursuing my Master's in Education and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Metropolitan State University.

I love teaching Kindergarten because kids are so curious and creative - every day is full of wonder! I'm so grateful I get to help them grow, play, and discover the joy of learning by providing a loving, engaging, fun, and safe classroom alongside you!

When I am not teaching, my husband, Peter, and our dog, Jack, enjoy hiking and spending time in the mountains. On the weekends, you might catch me at Red Rocks for a concert or at a First Friday Walk downtown. I also enjoy reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, painting, and traveling. I am so excited for this year!
