Hello sixth grade families!
I am so thrilled to be teaching at Coyote Creek and teaching 6th! I am originally from Texas where I started my teaching career teaching 3rd, then 4th grades. We moved to Colorado two summers ago and I began teaching 5th at Franktown Elementary. My favorite part of teaching is creating wonderful relationships with my students. I love to listen to their stories, share in their victories, be there for them when life gets tough, laugh, play, and, of course, learn together every day. They teach me as much as I teach them!!
I have 2 kids that will also be attending Coyote Creek: Leona and Baird Jr. My husband, Baird, is my biggest supporter and he loves to be involved and visit the classroom whenever possible. I look forward to collaborating with all of you and cheering on our students!!

My name is Rebecca Cowan, and I’m thrilled to be starting my 18th year in education! For the past nine years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching lower primary grades here at Coyote Creek Elementary, and this year I’m incredibly excited to take on a new adventure as a 6th grade teacher. I’m passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, and I can't wait to see what this year holds for our amazing upper elementary learners.
Outside of the classroom, life is wonderfully full! I’m a proud mom to identical twin one-year-old boys who keep me on my toes and bring endless joy and laughter to my days. Our family also includes Ollie, our energetic puppy who adds even more excitement to our home. When I’m not teaching or chasing after little ones, I love to travel, cook, camp, create art, and spend as much time as possible outdoors with my family.
I feel so lucky to be part of the Coyote Creek community and look forward to a fantastic year ahead with my students and their families!

Hi there lovely 6th grade families! My name is Brianna Kendrick, and I am absolutely thrilled to be teaching at CCE. This is my third year teaching full time at CCE, but your students may also know me from my years as both a long- and short-term guest teacher. My favorite part of teaching is building relationships with my students and challenging them to think more deeply about both known and unfamiliar topics. Sixth graders have so many unique and fascinating insights to share; I can't wait to hear what your students have to say.
My husband, John, and I moved to Colorado from our home state of Hawaii in 2015. Our son Tiernan just finished his time at CCE and is moving onto Ranch View this year and our daughter Skye is entering 3rd grade. When not shuttling them to and from activities, I love to play trumpet, piano, and my newest instrument, viola. I also practice and teach taekwondo and am a 4th degree black belt. During ski season, we head up to the mountains to play in the snow and fulfill my childhood dreams of skiing more than once a year. Unfortunately, nobody told that little island girl about I-70 weekend traffic, but we make the best of it!
